MVC & WB6TMH designed and built this Satellite Sensor Test Platform for AMSAT. The PCB part of the design was done by Alan Bloom, N1AL. John Mock, KD6PAG designed the firmware. These boards were designed to test four Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors for use as Earth horizon detectors onboard AMSAT satellites. These boards were to fly on the NASA ISS SuitSat1 mission, but were dropped when the mission was simplified. Maybe we can fly on SuitSat2! |
